One of the first patients I ever saw was a 48-year-old woman suffering from digestive problems. The majority of the foods she ate would cause stomach pain, cramping attacks, or the runs.
Social events or trips were out of the question.
Urgent visits to the bathroom could flare at any time, and she was under immense emotional distress.
Specialists prescribed medication after medication, but nothing seemed to help.
She approached me at a loss.
And to be honest, I also wasn’t quite sure how to help her. But I was committed to finding out. We began working intensely together detoxing, nourishing, and nurturing her microbiome, and several months after practicing the full program she rang me.
Can you guess where I am? She asked.
She was in the communal entrance of her building tending to the garden. She loved pruning the roses and geraniums there but was unable to do so for many months because of her bowel condition.
This was a major accomplishment.
A few weeks later she rang again and I got another opportunity to play the guessing game. This time she called from the shopping mall where she’d gone out with friends for the first time in over 18 months!
